Your pet has urinated or sprayed on your carpet, hardwood floor, cement floor, bed, furniture (leather or fabric), etc.  Cats in particular seem to develop personal vendettas and will soil anything from shoes in your closet to a kitchen cabinet, but 99.9% of cat problems are in flooring and usually within 2 feet of a wall or other vertical surface.  That is the good news!  The bad news is that they tend to go repeatedly in the same places which sometimes results in very heavy contamination that penetrates deeply into the surfaces.  Cat urine has a very low surface tension, which means that it wicks into even the smallest pores in any surface.  It gets behind baseboard, runs under the walls, and into small cracks between tiles and the boards in hardwood floors.

Dogs, on the other hand, will urinate randomly all over a room.  Any dog over about 5 pounds will put out enough urine to penetrate through carpet, into the padding and often the sub-floor.  Dogs kept outside in a kennel environment with a “run area” can create an odor that can bother your neighbors.  Some dogs also have that odor commonly known as “Doggy Odor”.  Odor Medicine O.F. is effective for all of these problems.
